Vintage Miniature Ships

Ever since visiting the International Maritime Museum in Hamburg a few years ago and seeing their 55000(!!!) strong collection of miniature ships I‘ve been a little bit obsessed with them.

So you can imagine my excitement when I managed to get hold of another job lot of little ships. I cannot tell you a great deal about them, about their age (they look quite old, mid 20th century I‘m guessing), who made them (I presume they are made in Germany) or what type of ships they are, I just find them utterly charming. I only have one of each but am always on the lookout for more, clearly attempting to start my own collection 😊.

Made from painted and unpainted die-cast metal. 
Scale 1:1250
Between 2 and 8cm long.

PLEASE NOTE these are vintage models so small signs of wear and tear are to be expected.
